The office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) states, with more than one million Syrian refugees, Lebanon has the most concentrated per capita refugee population in the whole world. Close to 10,000 Iraqi and 475,000 Palestinian refugees also live in Lebanon. In 2019 the World Bank cautioned a rise in the poverty-stricken population from 33% to 50% due to instability in the country. Covid-19 brought unemployment to 25%.
HHRD has been conducting humanitarian assistance programs and projects in Lebanon since 2013, through credible vetted partner NGOs, with proper due diligence through our Registered International Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) Subsidiary Office of Jordan.
Our programs include a Support Program for School & University Education, Caravan of Hope Homes & Schools, Washrooms, and Water for Life, Healthcare, Ramadan Food, Qurbani/Udhiya, Winter Provisions, Emergency Relief, and In-Kind Gifts. Also for local Lebanese and Palestinian Refugees, HHRD has been doing In-Kind Gifts and yearly seasonal projects such as Ramadan Food, Qurbani/Udhiya, and Winter Provisions
