Philippines Typhoon Goni Relief

Super Typhoon Goni made landfall on November 1st, 2020 with 195 miles per hour winds, and as of November 3rd claimed 16 lives, displaced 500,000 and destroyed tens of thousands of homes. It made landfall four times in the provinces of Catanduanes and Albay in the Bicol Region, in San Narciso, Quezon and Lobo, Batangas in the Southern Tagalog Region. Volcanic mudflow has also desolated municipalities around Mayon Volcano, leaving houses and produces completely covered with mud.

HHRD has launched its Philippines Relief Fund and is working closely with local vetted partner NGOs to provide support to those affected by the typhoon.

HHRD Work in the Philippines 

HHRD has been in the region since 2014 and is caring for 400 orphans. HHRD conducts a Skills Development and Livelihood Program for 100 students and regular seasonal projects such as Ramadan Food and Qurbani (Udhyiya) meat distribution. HHRD’s emergency team was on the ground providing food, shelter, water and medical assistance to victims of the 2019 earthquakes. Your continuous support has made a lasting difference in the live of countless people.
