How It Works:
HHRD selects animals adhering to Islamic guidelines and protocols then performs the sacrifice (Udhiya/Qurbani) after which portions and packaging of meat are distributed amongst local communities around the world.
Helping Hand USA involves local communities in distributing fresh meat among the neediest families after the sacrifices are performed. This includes orphans, widows, refugees, and flood affected, earthquake ravaged and drought stricken people; many of whom enjoy this luxury of eating meat once a year on this occasion. Perform your Udhiya/Qurbani through HHRD; and Insha’Allah reap the rewards of this noble deed.
Areas of Immense Need:
AFRICA FLOOD AND DROUGHT CRISIS:Heavy rains and storms have destroyed many communities in Mozambique, Malawi, Kenya, Somalia, Uganda, Tanzania, and some other countries of Africa. In East Africa, over 20 million are reeling from severe drought and famine conditions. HHRD is supporting over 2,400 orphans in East Africa, as well as families through Skills Development, Water for Life, Youth Leadership, In-Kind Gifts, and Seasonal Programs. HHRD is a registered NGO in five African countries, with partner NGOs in 15 countries.
SYRIAN REFUGEE RELIEF:The ongoing crisis in Syria has left 12 million people displaced of which 6.3 million have become refugees in neighboring countries. Through your generous contributions and the help of our registered International NGO (INGO) office in Jordan, we are supporting 2,200 orphans in the region, and around 2,000 children and youth with their education. Hundreds of families have been provided shelter, and benefited from our seasonal programs in Jordan and Lebanon. During these blessed days earn the prayers of orphans, widows, and those in dire need by securing your Qurbani orders for Syrian Refugees, or by choosing one of our Special Packages.
