Orphans: Career Planning Workshop
Orphan Support Now in Haiti
On 19th July 2011,

Helping Hand for Relief and Development has extended its Orphans Sponsorship campaign to Haiti. You can now sponsor orphans in Haiti through our Orphan Sponsor Program. We have started by sponsoring fifty children, and plan on extending the program in the future.

The OSP team had the opportunity of visiting some orphans on our recent trip and recognized the responsibility that has been neglected to be met towards the Haitian children.

In Haiti, one in every three children dies before the age of five due to malnutrition or health concerns. Along with lacking proper sustenance and health, a suitable education is also absent for much of the population. Education, albeit important to the Haitian people, is increasingly expensive, causing about at least a third of the children left without schooling.

Although the Muslim population in Haiti is small, we plan on catering to the needs of Muslim and non-Muslim children alike, to ensure that they have the food, shelter, good health, and education that all children deserve.

Muhammad Yunus is also a loves playing soccer and has often considered joining and reinforcing the soccer team.
